JUSTSAM!!!

…JUSTSAM!!!.. was born in Beverly Hills in 1979 and spent
most of her life in Southern California. Her interest in art began
as soon as she could hold a pencil. As a child she spent her
free time reading about famous art and sketching. Her natural
ability has transformed her work from the early sketches into a
bold and compelling collection of colorful dark art.

There is a whimsical quality in her work that evokes the
comedic while provoking the obscure; each piece is a labor of
love. Her unique self-taught style has been nurtured by a
playful sense of humor, a love of fun, and an enamored
devotion to the darker beauty that lives in all things. Her work
emphasizes the bizarre connection of reality and fantasy.

Disneyland, anime, and the entire underground movement are
the inspirations for her artistic development, giving each piece
a fiendish feel with an, often times, surprisingly light aesthetic.
She paints to display the frailty of life by pinning vivid images
against the morbid realities of a physical existence.

Her talents extend from the paintbrush to the sewing needle
and beyond, as she is an accomplished doll maker and
creates and designs her own accessories and clothing. Her
creative mind is limitless and uninhibited.

…JUSTSAM!!!… firmly believes that art should be available for
everyone and strives to make art that is compelling and
affordable.
